The Arthur Rank Hospice do some fantastic work in the Cambridge area, but they’re also extremely good at being creative with their fundraising ideas. Introducing The Arthur Rank Hospice Accumulator Challenge, the fundraiser with a difference.
An accumulator challenge is when a charity gives someone money to enter and they then must ‘accumulate’ as much money as possible from it. Obviously, the money raised all goes back to that charity.
The Arthur Rank Hospice are this year giving an initial £50 to businesses and groups with The Royal Cambridge Hotel delighted to be one of those to have signed up.
Stewart Rushton, The Royal Cambridge Hotel’s General Manager added: “Arthur Rank Hospice do some incredible work around the Cambridge area, so it’s a privilege to be raising money for them and all the people they help.
“We’ll be raising money throughout our Christmas events programme with bucket collections and other activities, so all donations are very much appreciated.”
The charity, which supports people in Cambridge who live with a life-limiting illness, last hosted their Accumulator Challenge in 2015, when 12 teams raised more than £12,000. The winners on that occasion achieved an impressive £4,250.
Corporate Fund Raiser for The Arthur Rank Hospice, Andrea Murauskas, said: “This inclusive fundraising event brings out the creative flare and competitive nature of our supporters as they battle over 12 weeks for first place.”
The Royal Cambridge Hotel join up with The Arthur Rank Hospice again following the highly successful ‘Bridge The Gap’ walk through the Cambridge University colleges that the team at the hotel participated in in September.
