The Royal Cambridge Hotel recently held a luncheon ‘soiree’ for the sponsors of the Cambridge Independent Employee Awards.
As one of the principal sponsors of the Cambridge Employee Awards, Stewart Rushton, General Manager, and Tim Rosamond, Sales Consultant, hosted the other sponsors at the hotel with a four-course taster menu provided by head chef, Julian White.
The Cambridge Employee Awards were created last year by the Cambridge Independent as a way of rewarding the hard-working employees of the city that consistently overperforms yet may go unnoticed and is deserving of recognition.
Stewart Rushton, General Manager of the Royal Cambridge Hotel, was delighted to welcome the fellow sponsors to the hotel. He said: “So far it’s been really beneficial to be associated with the Cambridge Employee Awards. Not only are we getting some great exposure from the Cambridge Independent, but we have opportunities like these to network with like-minded local businesses.
“Chef put on a great menu, as always, and it was a great afternoon getting to know some of the other local businesses also associated with the awards.”
The monthly awards sees the winner receive prizes from each of the sponsors, with the Royal Cambridge Hotel providing Sunday lunch for four at 6 Scroope Terrace, the new restaurant and bar located at the hotel.
Guests invited to the Royal Cambridge Hotel (pictured above) included Amanda and Sarah, from Ann Pettengell Recruitment, Robin Chappell of Chocolat Chocolat, and Sue Walden from the Cambridge Independent Newspaper, who leads the Employee Awards project.
