The Royal Cambridge Hotel once again held a Macmillan Coffee Morning at the hotel on Friday with £110.50 being raised for charity.
Every year the cancer support charity encourages venues all over the country to take part and create the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning. With many local residents joining hotel guests and staff for a coffee and a cake, the hugely-popular charity event was another great success.
Stewart Rushton, General Manager of The Royal Cambridge Hotel, said: “Once again, we enjoyed a very successful Macmillan Coffee Morning last week. It was superb to see so many people joining us at the hotel and raising money for a very worthy cause.”
The Macmillan charity as a whole raised more than £230 million in 2018, with just under £27 million of that coming from their famous coffee mornings. Since the first coffee morning back in 1990, they have raised in excess of £200 million.
